whilstWhen it comes to reading smut, I don't have any squicks or triggers and can go pretty hard, kink-wise. I do like problematic elements (say, power differentials) to be addressed if not resolved. Keeping in mind that smut is totally optional...
I often like: informal (low protocol or spontaneous) D/s, bondage, specific shout out to rope bondage, orgasm control/delay/denial, forced orgasm/overstimulation, asymmetrical pleasure?, incomplete satisfaction (emotional or physical), humiliation, dub/noncon, explicit negotiation and consent, switches, experimentation, xenophilia (including metaphysical), revulsion, sexting, fail!sex, sexless kink, kinkless sex, conscious emotional vulnerability/honesty, intentional physical pain, unintentional emotional pain, divorce/ heartache/loaded histories, a sickening hollow emptiness in the wake of technically excellent intercourse, dialogue (or monologuing) during the act, and when one character is grossly and cheerfully shameless while everyone else struggles with their horror, fascination, and second-hand embarrassment.
Definitely not all at once or anything.
Other random things I tend to enjoy: unreliable narrators; identity porn; cameos and polyships, transportation (events taking place on trains, ships, motorbikes, cars, etc); expertise and instruction (competence kink?); extreme temperatures; the sometimes incongruous inclusion of social media; chat-speak; science and pseudoscience; metaphysics; absurdity; consequences; time travel; cracky tropes played straight; when a character experiences unexpected fondness or empathy for someone not necessarily deserving (including themselves).
